Movie night with the kids is definitely one of my favorite nights. It happens often around my home, especially on nights when dad has to work late. All we need is a pay per view movie, some warm blankets and delicious snacks. My signature movie night menu is homemade soft pretzels, freshly popped popcorn and a unique snack mix.
With Christmas seriously just around the corner (say, what?!) I decided to make a special holiday snack mix featuring FLIPZ® chocolate covered pretzels, frosted Os, peanuts, red and green candies and dried cherries. You could certainly use dried cranberries if you want instead of cherries. This festive mix is sweet and salty, the perfect duo for any movie night snacking.
FLIPZ® Christmas Snack Mix
- 1 cup pretzels
- 3 cups chocolate chips
- 1 12 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
- Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper. In a microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate and sweetened condensed milk, by microwaving 30 seconds, stirring and repeating until melted. The fudge will begin to harden quickly so add the chopped (or whole) pretzels immediately then put into the pan. Put into the freezer for 2 hours before cutting.
I love creating snack mixes because you already have these ingredients in your pantry – cereals, nuts, candy… simple ingredients for an easy treat. The star of this mix is one of my favorite movie night snacks – FLIPZ®. These chocolate covered pretzels (I used white fudge) are ridiculously good and already have that sweet n salty taste on their own. A bag of FLIPZ® never lasts long in my house; that’s for sure. Special for the season, find FLIPZ® limited edition snowflake pretzels, which would make this mix even more festive! I cannot wait until I can find them around here – but first – Click here to Save $1 on FLIPZ® Chocolate Covered Pretzels! and check out the FLIPZ® community on Facebook.
